The American Council of the Blind of Maine is all of you. In order for us to be a strong voice in blindness issues we need the voices of many. Please be sure to update your membership if you are a past Member and, if you are new to Maine's blindness community, we welcome you to join us.
The American Council of the Blind (ACB) of Maine:

Works to improve and enrich the quality of life for Maine people who are blind or visually impaired.

Focuses on independence, security, and opportunity.

Advocates for civil rights, equal opportunity, accessibility, employment, and rehabilitation services.

Sponsors legislative activities and promotes programs to benefit people who are blind or visually impaired.

Awards a yearly scholarship for post secondary education to a Maine

student who is legally blind.
